Oral Surgery Billing & Insurance Specialist

Responsibilities: Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims and pre-treatment estimates Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments Enter charges from provider notes and treatment plans Calculate and communicate patient estimates, including dual coverage Post insurance payments and resolve discrepancies Contact patients about balances and changes to estimates Review aging receivable reports for accuracy Answer patient billing and insurance calls

Required Qualifications: 2 years of dental insurance and billing experience Ability to interpret EOBs to determine patient responsibility and insurance adjustments Strong attention to detail with multiple patient accounts Comfort with phone communication and HIPAA standards

Preferred Qualifications: Oral surgery or surgical specialty experience Familiarity with implant treatment planning and insurance coordination DentalXChange or similar clearinghouse experience Willingness to learn a proprietary oral surgery practice management software \nCompany
