✨ WE'RE GROWING OUR BOARD: Five New Board Members Wanted Light of Loving Kindness (LOLK) is seeking five dynamic, community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors and help shape the next chapter of our organization. LOLK is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that curates arts, nature, and wellness experiences designed to activate Hope, Health, Healing, and Wholeness. As we enter an important period of transition and growth, we are bringing new voices and perspectives to the table. Our incoming board members will help us strengthen organizational practices, support continuous quality improvement, and shape our next five-year strategic plan. Who are we looking for? We are looking for thinkers, listeners, collaborators, connectors, and doers—people who care about community and are ready to bring their knowledge, questions, relationships, lived experience, and leadership to the table. We especially welcome experience in areas such as:• Finance and financial oversight• Fundraising and development• Legal and nonprofit governance• Community engagement and leadership• Nonprofit and program management• Marketing and communications• Human resources• Data, research, and evaluation• Healthcare, mental health, and holistic wellness• Youth development and social-emotional learning• Environmental justice, nature, and outdoor wellness• Trauma-informed practices Previous board experience is welcomed but not required. We value professional expertise alongside community wisdom, lived experience, curiosity, integrity, and a willingness to learn. What will Board members do? Board members will participate in organizational governance, strategic planning, financial oversight, resource development, committee work, and advocacy for the mission of Light of Loving Kindness. This is a volunteer, non-paid leadership position. New members will serve an initial one-year term from October 2026 through September 2027, with the opportunity to extend their service for up to two additional years. During the initial term, members should be prepared to participate in approximately 6–8 virtual board and/or committee meetings.
