What You'll Be Doing:
Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic testing, and developing personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as per credentialing)
Instructing patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies consistent with your practice authority
Engaging in follow-up care and managing chronic health conditions
Cooperating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-focused care
Accurately documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
