Offering $38–$40 per hour and a 7-on / 7-off schedule, this position provides competitive pay, technical variety, and a full week off every other week.
The Opportunity: Working within a highly specialized industrial processing facility, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems. You'll work with a wide variety of equipment, including PLCs, DCS, HMIs, industrial motors, VFDs, control valves, and process instrumentation. This is a hands-on technical position suited to someone who enjoys fault-finding, solving problems, and keeping industrial equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose faults involving PLCs, DCS, HMIs, remote I/O, and industrial communication networks. Maintain and troubleshoot motors, motor controls, VFDs, breakers, and power distribution systems. Install, test, maintain, and calibrate process instrumentation, including pressure, flow, temperature, level, pH, and analytical instruments. Troubleshoot and repair control valves, actuators, positioners, and associated control equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical documentation. Perform electrical testing, circuit tracing, loop checks, and equipment diagnostics. Support PLC/DCS programming modifications, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement activities. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Follow electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and arc flash requirements. Work independently to diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues.
What We're Looking For: Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical, instrumentation, or controls maintenance experience. Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills. Experience working with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, or industrial automation equipment. Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and process control systems. Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs. Understanding of electrical safety procedures and industrial maintenance practices. Associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work independently within a demanding industrial environment. Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts on a 7-on / 7-off rotation. Experience in chemical processing, metals, heavy manufacturing, or other process-driven industrial environments would be particularly advantageous. Additional experience with HART communicators, instrumentation calibration, PLC/DCS software, or industrial communication networks would also be beneficial. Why Apply?
