Middle School Science Teacher

Primary Responsibilities: Plan and implement engaging, standards-based science lessons aligned with Iowa Core and diocesan curriculum guidelinesCreate a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and spiritual growthUtilize a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on experiments, technology integration, and collaborative learningAssess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessmentsMaintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performanceCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progressCollaborate with colleagues, administration, and staff to support school initiativesParticipate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activitiesIntegrate Catholic teachings and values across the curriculumSupervise students in and outside the classroom as assignedQualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field (required)
• Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate endorsement (preferred)
• Experience teaching middle school students (preferred)
• Strong classroom management and communication skillsAbility to incorporate technology effectively into instructionCommitment to the mission and values of Catholic educationWillingness to be an active member of the school communityPersonal and Professional Qualities:
