Warren Recruiting’s client, a publicly traded company, is seeking anEnvironmental Counselto join its legal team in a newly created, high-impact role supporting operations across the U.S.This is a unique opportunity tohelp build and shape the environmental legal functionwhile working closely with business and operational leadership. The position isopen to remote candidates, with a preference for those open torelocation to Texas .
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on environmental regulatory compliance (CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA)
- Support permitting and operational strategy across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage environmental litigation and outside counsel
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, and compliance teams
- Interface with state, federal, and local regulators
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of environmental law experience
- Strong background in federal and state environmental regulations
- Experience with solid waste, landfills, transfer stations, or recycling operations preferred
- Practical, business-oriented approach with strong communication skills
