Responsibilities:
  • Screen patients, visitors, and equipment for MRI safety, including implants and ferromagnetic objects
  • Position patients and select the appropriate coils and imaging sequences for each study
  • Administer gadolinium contrast when ordered, following facility protocol
  • Obtain diagnostic-quality images, adjusting parameters to manage motion and artifacts, and provide completed studies to radiologists
Travel MRI Tech Requirements: 2+ years of recent MRI Tech experience. Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Georgia and national regulatory bodies. Wellstar Cobb Hospital Austell, GAWellstar Cobb is a 380-plus-bed community hospital in Austell, covering south Cobb County and the western metro Atlanta suburbs. It was Georgia's first certified Primary Heart Attack Center and is a Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Center, with cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography on site. Imaging covers MRI, mammography, and X-ray, with a Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center and a Level III Trauma Center driving the CT and emergency work. The Level III Maternal Care Center, with its own obstetric ED and a Level III NICU caring for babies born as early as 22 weeks, is steady work for OB sonographers and neonatal respiratory therapists.
