Role Purpose: Responsible for providing a variety of basic routine tests and procedures on tissue and related surgical specimens submitted for histological examination.
Responsibilities: Tasks limited to microtomy, embedding, staining. Performs and documents quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Understands maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas. Has minimal understanding of test principles.
