  • We are looking for a motivated student in the third or fourth year of the microbiology/biochemistry/process technology program!

  • The TCB department is an essential hub in our organization. This department focuses on the production of mainly viral antigens in roller bottles and single use bioreactors. The team works closely with other departments within the company to achieve the set goals.
  • Your main task consists of independently and accurately performing the most common activities needed to produce the antigens. Work according to a detailed daily schedule, monitor the quality, recognize deviations, and report them in time.
  • Your internship assignment
  • As an intern, you are responsible for:
  • Preparing media used for growing cells and viruses and inactivating them.
  • Producing viral antigens and controlling biological culture processes in roller bottles and bioreactors.
  • Signaling deviations and malfunctions regarding process, equipment, and safety.
Can be deployed in the most common USP and DSP steps within the department (USP: cell start, cell passage, infection, both in rollerbottle and in bioreactor. DSP various methods of virus harvest, sonication, inactivation, concentration, and purification techniques).Assisting and supporting problem analyses from raw material to final product and solving them, using MPS techniques such as Scientific Problem Solving or Kaizen. The described activities form the basic package and will often be carried out independently after a good induction and learning period. On your own initiative or at the request of the organization, they can often be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks. What is required A third-year or fourth-year BOL-3 or 4 student in microbiology, biochemistry, and process technology who: Is available 4 or 5 days a week for a period of 5 to 9 months. Has a professional attitude, brings enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, and finds it a challenge to do an internship in a dynamic complex environment. Wants to work in a production environment.
