This position performs finishing operations to produce high-quality finished wood products in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Shift Available: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMA variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:a High School Diploma or GED1-2 years of wood finishing or paint related experience is preferred but not required On top of that you must:make the right call with quality decisions, good judgment and keen problem-solving skills in determining better, more efficient work flows with the same high-quality standarddrive results, take initiative and be action-oriented by applying time management and self-management skills every day in order to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitudebe accountable and take ownership of work commitments in meeting clients' expectations and timelinescollaborate and embrace the "Art of the Team" by working with coworkers in order to get the work done on-time and within budgethave a passion for excellence and drive for quality in all that the team produces In this position, you will:apply finishing materials including paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and polyurethanes to wood and other substratesmaintain spray booth cleanliness, organization and an OSHA safe working environmentmonitor quality control during the finishing processensure all of the necessary paperwork is filled out, including job related QC checks and hazardous waste logscomplete time studies and material estimates as neededbe setting up production spray linesassist in the training and development of your co-workersperform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management To get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be:able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
