Middle School English Teacher - SMMCS

Position Overview: This full time position requires presence at school Monday through Friday from 7:50 AM to 3:20 PM.Teachers are contracted for 190 days per school year, including:170 student contact days2 conference compensation days12 professional development/inservice days6 paid holidays The Middle School Language Arts Teacher will lead instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and literature for middle school students. Responsibilities include lesson planning, assessing student progress, fostering strong communication skills, and creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages discussion, analysis, and a love of learning. This teacher will also support cross-curricular connections and help students develop skills in organization, study habits, and independent thinking that prepare them for high school success. Collaboration is an important part of our school culture. Teachers work closely with colleagues, administration, and support staff to ensure students receive strong academic guidance and a well rounded educational experience.
