Welder/Fabricator
Reports to: Garage Manager/Logistics Manager
Location: Fleet Maintenance Facility (6651 Baertown Rd Dover, OH 44622)
Hours: Monday Friday; 7:00am -3:30pmSummary: The Fleet Maintenance team is critical to keeping our private fleet of Semi tractors and trailers on the road and supporting our driver equipment needs both locally and while they are away from home. We have expanded that support by now producing liftgates and miscellaneous other projects to help our fleet. The candidate will play a role in that support. Welding, fabricating, and collaborating with others to find creative ways to increase efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Mig and tig welding and fabricating.
  • Collaborating on design ideas and plans.
  • Installation and repair of trailer liftgates.
  • Proficiency in reading and navigating blueprints. Able to find specific information on request.
  • Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Experience with both mig and tig welding. Each candidate will be asked to perform a weld test from a blueprint.
  • Strong communication skill. Able to communicate and articulate thought in person, email, and over the phone.
  • Organization skills with parts, material, and data collected
  • Able to operate Microsoft office at some level.

  • Verbal/Nonverbal Convey easily and quickly any message Speaks clearly; listens attentively and seeks clarification. Responds well to questions and maintains professional communication.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organizational skills:
  • Multi-tasks; efficient time management; deadline oriented; meets commitments; and prompt responses.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, for prolonged periods of time. And must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
