CNC Field Service Engineer - FANUC

What You'll Do: This engineer will install new CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including all options and accessories, and perform machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments to ensure peak performance. Day to day work involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application related issues, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions such as repair or replacement solutions. This person will provide on site and remote technical support by phone, email, and other channels, working closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues. The role also includes providing customer training, assisting with project coordination, supporting trade shows and company events as needed, and maintaining detailed service documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications: 5 or more years of experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and service, both electrical and mechanical 5 or more years of experience providing remote technical support within the machine tool industry Proven experience installing and servicing machining centers, including leveling and geometric alignment Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting Experience with CNC control systems, including FANUC controls Solid understanding of power circuits and industrial electrical systems Ability to travel extensively (up to 100% during weekdays) and work independently in the field
