Work Environment: This role is designed for a remote work setting within a community health clinic framework, allowing our counselors to provide therapeutic services to clients from the comfort of their homes. We emphasize a team-oriented approach, where you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive client care. Flexibility is pivotal; our full-time staff work Monday to Friday for 8-hour shifts, while part-time counselors can tailor their schedules from Monday to Saturday to suit their needs and team demands, with no weekend work required.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to design personalized therapy plans for each client. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods to provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy tailored to diverse needs. Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and relevance. Participate actively in ongoing professional development, including workshops and training sessions, to stay abreast of advancements in mental health research. Engage with other health professionals to develop comprehensive care plans that promote client wellness. Patient Population / Client FocusIn this role, you will work with a diverse clientele seeking mental health support, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, and relationship challenges. Your work will directly impact their mental health outcomes by providing tailored therapeutic support designed to empower clients and facilitate healing. The clinic serves a broad spectrum of the community in El Paso and beyond, emphasizing the importance of adaptable care strategies to meet various needs.
Qualifications: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. A minimum of two years of relevant clinical counseling experience. Proficient understanding of legal and ethical standards pertinent to counseling practice. Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients. Ability and willingness to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies.
Preferred Experience: Experience and specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment are highly preferred and will enhance your application. Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with diverse clients and adapt therapeutic approaches accordingly.
