We aim to foster a sense of community and support local entrepreneurs by curating handmade, small-batch, and locally inspired items such as gifts, home goods, art, apparel, and specialty foods.
Role Description:
We are seeking a community-minded, results-driven Retail Managerto lead our new store opening in Downtown Novato. The ideal candidate values local connections, excels in customer service, and has a strong background in retail operations and leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role, preferably for someone currently based in Novato or with Marin County roots. The Retail Store Manager will oversee daily store operations, manage staff and liaise with the owner and makers, ensure customer satisfaction, maintain store appearance, manage inventory, implement loss prevention strategies, handle customer inquiries and complaints, and work towards achieving sales targets.
Qualifications:
Strong skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, makers, and customers Experience in Store Management and overseeing daily operations Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention strategies Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Previous retail experience preferred Experience with Square POS is a plus
