Special Education Teacher College Achieve Public Schools is a growing network of high-performing public charter schools dedicated to preparing scholars for college and lifelong success. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate special education teacher to join our team at a middle school. The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence and student growth, bring creativity to their instruction, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect student needs and curriculum goals Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities Assess and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives Support school events, field trips, and community-building activities Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning Adhere to all school, district, and network policies and procedures
Required Qualifications: Valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard teaching certification (or eligibility for certification), Special Education endorsement Must pass a criminal history background check Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
