Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Collect blood, breath, and urine specimens from adults and juveniles. Distribute specimens to appropriate laboratories or facilities for testing or storage. Maintain inventory control and ensure supplies are stocked and ready for use. Perform clerical tasks such as word processing, filing, and maintaining departmental records. Follow quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings when necessary. Book evidence and maintain accurate records of lab tests and confidential information. Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA standards for processing and transporting bodily fluids. Maintain a clean, sterile environment and ensure specimens security during the collection process. Perform related duties as assigned. Duties and schedules may vary by assignment, please inquire about specific duties and/or schedules if called upon for an interview. Incumbents may be required to work any shift; nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Temporary employees are assigned no more than 32 hours a week. The salary listed is for full-time positions and will be prorated if hired. Temporary employees do not participate in the City's pension system and are not eligible for City-sponsored benefits. The current temporary vacancy exists in the Traffic Bureau Division of the Fresno Police Department.
