CONSTRUCTION SURVEY PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Melbourne, FLWork Setup: Primarily Onsite / Office-Based
Salary: $70,000-$90,000+ based on experience

A leading Florida land surveying and geomatics firm is seeking a Construction Survey Project Manager to support its growing Melbourne operation. This is a predominantly office-based opportunity where you will take ownership of commercial construction survey projects from planning through completion while working closely with clients, field crews, and technical teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Manage commercial construction surveying projects from kickoff through completion Coordinate field crews, office technicians, clients, and project stakeholders Review engineering and construction plans and develop survey/layout requirements Perform and review survey calculations, boundary analysis, and final map checking Calculate or review construction layout and stakeout points from engineering plans Support layout for buildings, utilities, grading, curbs, parking areas, roadways, drainage, and other site improvements Abstract title information and research record drawings Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle Establish project priorities and coordinate daily workflow between field and office teams Monitor schedules, budgets, scope changes, and project milestones Perform QA/QC on field activities, calculations, and survey deliverables Review preliminary and final survey documents for accuracy and completeness Work with other discipline leads to keep projects on schedule and within budget Visit project sites as needed to support field coordination and resolve project issuesWHAT YOU BRING4+ years of progressive land surveying or construction surveying experience Experience supporting commercial construction or land development projects Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3DAbility to read and interpret civil engineering and construction plans Experience with construction staking, site layout, or stakeout calculations Ability to calculate or review coordinates, elevations, and layout points for field crews Experience coordinating survey field crews and office/CAD technicians Strong understanding of survey calculations, boundary analysis, and project deliverables Experience managing project schedules, priorities, and client expectations Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple active projects Comfortable working primarily onsite in the Melbourne officePREFERREDExperience managing commercial construction survey projectsSIT, LSIT, PSM, or similar surveying credential Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field Experience with aerial or mobile LiDAR platforms and software Experience managing project budgets and financial performance Experience reviewing final maps, plats, and survey deliverablesCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS$70,000-$90,000+ annual salary, based on experience Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Opportunity to join one of Florida's largest privately owned land surveying organizations Significant project ownership within a growing Melbourne operation
