Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, this is a hands-on generalist role supporting day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is warm, approachable, and deeply supportive - someone who makes every team member feel welcome when they walk through the HR door, not like they are interrupting. Forbes or luxury hotel experience is strongly preferred, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential. This role offers a genuine pathway to growth. A strong performer could develop into an Assistant Director of People and Culture over time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Serve as a trusted, welcoming People and Culture resource for team members and leaders across all departmentsProvide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace expectationsConduct and document fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigationsManage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interview coordination, offers, and onboardingOversee the complete team member lifecycle from hiring through separation, processing all changes accurately and on timeAdminister benefits enrollment, leaves of absence, and accommodation requests in partnership with the DirectorSupport payroll accuracy by reviewing timekeeping, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining HRIS and ADP recordsPrepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics using available systems and toolsSupport team member engagement, recognition, and culture-building events and initiativesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesWHAT YOU BRINGMinimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a People and Culture or HR Manager within a luxury hospitality environment - strong Assistant Managers ready to step up will also be consideredLuxury hotel experience is requiredForbes Travel Guide property experience is strongly preferredExperience at a fast-paced property is essential - this hotel is busy, and the role moves quickly A calm, kind, and genuinely supportive demeanour - team members should feel welcomed, not hesitant, when approaching HRTech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, ADP, and reporting toolsStrong organizational skills with experience supporting team events, vendor coordination, and culture initiativesSolid knowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and benefits administrationWorking knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practicesSHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plusBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferredMust have valid US work authorization - visa sponsorship is not availableWHAT'S OFFEREDUSD $70,000 - $75,000 per yearCompetitive and comprehensive benefits package
