Job Summary:
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Provides technical assistance and training within a health care specialty. Plans, directs, and implements a specialty program. Evaluates programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience performing work related to the area of assignment, which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Prgm Consultant 3 (HCP092) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Counseling, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, or a closely related field is preferred. Experience providing or coordinating rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation, therapeutic activity, behavioral health, or recovery-oriented services. Experience providing leadership, direction, or supervision to staff and coordinating daily departmental operations. Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric, forensic, behavioral health, or other structured healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in rehabilitation, behavioral health, therapeutic recreation, psychosocial rehabilitation, or a related human services setting is preferred. Previous experience coordinating programs, leading staff, or serving in a supervisory or lead capacity is highly desirable. Experience within an inpatient psychiatric or forensic hospital setting is strongly preferred.
