To support the Counseling Department, the full-time Visiting Faculty in Counseling will teach virtual and in-person courses, engage in departmental service, and contribute to the mission of integrating advocacy and cultural competence into counselor education.
Key responsibilities: Teach 24 units per year, including virtual synchronous courses and in-person residency experiences as needed Engage in departmental service by participating in committees and faculty meetings, contributing 6 units over two quarters Attend university events and potentially serve in leadership roles within professional counseling organizations
Required qualifications: Doctoral degree in Counseling Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program License or license eligible as a Mental Health Counselor or related discipline Demonstrated excellence in teaching in both virtual and in-person formats Engagement in professional counseling associations and demonstrated clinical knowledge Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the educational environment
