Corporate Controller Beam Global, www.beamforall.com, NASDAQ BEEM, is a leading provider of innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions for energy storage and security, electrification of mobility, and smart city infrastructure. Beam Global invents and manufactures in San Diego, CA; Yuma, AZ; Chicago, IL; Belgrade and Kraljevo, Serbia; and has an office in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Corporate Controller is a high-impact leadership role requiring a “player-coach” who can both execute SEC filings and mentor a small, dedicated team. This leader ensures the integrity of financial data while directly executing consolidation and reporting tasks in our San Diego headquarters. This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position. The position will report to the CFO. Core ResponsibilitiesSEC Financial Reporting: Lead the entire external reporting process, including accurate and timely filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and annual proxy statements. Global Consolidations: Manage the manual and automated consolidation of financial statements for global entities across multiple currencies, ensuring accurate foreign currency accounting. (In process of setting up the automated process in NetSuite to include multi-currencies and elimination journal entries.).Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain a robust control environment in accordance with SOX. Design, implement, and test internal controls over financial reporting."Roll-Up Your Sleeves" Execution: Directly perform some account reconciliations, variance analysis, and year-end close activities rather than solely delegating to a team. ERP Optimization (NetSuite): Lead system enhancements and workflow automation within NetSuite to support multi-entity growth and reporting efficiency. Audit & Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact and lead for external auditors and prepare necessary workpapers and schedules. Staff Mentorship & Leadership: Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals. Provide active coaching, review their work for accuracy, and provide active involvement in their day-to-day tasks. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Sales, Production, and Engineering departments. You will translate financial data into actionable insights for these teams, helping to optimize production costs and evaluate sales contracts for revenue recognition.
