Bookstore Student Sales Associate - FWSP

Reports To: Director of Bookstore Minimum Education/Experience: Current OCCC student with Federal Work Study Award Experience handling cash and non-cash transactions

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Available to work occasional Saturdays and extended hours as needed Exceptional customer service skills Ability to operate a calculator Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Medium work: This position requires the person to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force and frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to colleagues and customers to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations. This position requires the person to frequently move about the Bookstore to assist customers and perform the essential functions of the position. This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position. This position frequently requires the person to operate a computerized point of sale system and other office equipment to complete other activities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. This position requires the person to frequently operate a computerized point of sale system and other equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists. This position requires the person to frequently use upper and lower body to exert force up to 50 pounds to pull, grasp, and/or lift materials or equipment. This position requires the person to frequently position self to work with Bookstore equipment, to assist customers, and to perform the essential functions of the position. This position's essential functions are performed in an indoor retail facility.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Flexible around class schedule
