This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician leader to combine executive leadership with clinical practice while helping shape the future of a well-established psychiatric hospital. Millwood Hospitaloffers a comprehensive continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults with psychiatric or substance use problems. A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals provides 24-hour mental health treatment and supervision in a structured environment for patients who need intensive chemical dependency or behavioral therapy. TheCMOserves as a key member of the hospital's senior leadership team and provides strategic medical oversight for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative physician leader committed to clinical excellence, quality improvement, patient safety, and physician engagement. OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTSExecutive leadership role with an established behavioral health hospital. Combination of administrative and clinical responsibilities. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for hospital operations. Lead quality, performance improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives. Collaborate with medical staff and hospital leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care. Support physician recruitment, engagement, credentialing, and peer review activities. Maintain an active clinical practice caring for psychiatric patients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
MD or DO degree. Board Certified in Psychiatry. Eligible for Texas medical licensure. Prior leadership experience as a Medical Director, Associate CMO, CMO, Chief of Psychiatry, or similar role preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
