Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding
  • Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality
  • Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist
  • Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists
  • Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols
  • Experience with Sectra, Epic, PenRad applications highly preferred
  • Educate patients on breast health, including self-exam techniques
  • Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed
  • Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas
  • Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively
Qualifications:
  • Minimum associates degree in Applied Science required
  • Completion of 3D/tomographic training required
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current state license as a mammography technologist/radiography technologist
  • Up to date continuing education experience as required
  • Experience with EMR and imaging systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
