In this rewarding role, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our nation's veterans, helping them access the healthcare services they deserve. You'll guide patients through scheduling appointments, insurance verification, registration, and financial processes while ensuring every veteran receives exceptional service with dignity, respect, and care. The position serves as a vital liaison between veterans, healthcare providers, and support services, helping create a seamless healthcare experience.
What You'll Do:
Welcome and assist veteran patients throughout their healthcare journey Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars Verify insurance eligibility and process referrals and authorizations Register patients and maintain accurate electronic medical records Collect payments and explain financial responsibilities with professionalism and empathy Support efficient clinic operations and patient flow Answer questions, resolve concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service Collaborate with faculty, providers, students, residents, and administrative teams to ensure exceptional patient care
What We're Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience in customer service, patient access, medical office, or administrative operationsORAssociate degree with 1 year of related experience Preferred Experience✔ Healthcare, dental, or academic clinic experience✔ Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience✔ Insurance verification and patient billing knowledge✔ Bilingual in Spanish/English or Creole/English is a plus Why Join NSU Health?
