SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent or higher educational degree: A.A./A.S., etc. Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board-approved program or possession of a Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology, or communication disorders, or an out-of-state associate of arts or sciences degree in speech-language pathology assistant. Additional experience working with children (ages three to twenty-one) is desirable. Certificates and Licenses: Possession of a current first aid and CPR certification, registration with the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is required within six months of appointment. Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability. A completed Employment Application. Resumes are not accepted in-lieu of a completed application. Qualified applicants will be invited to a future examination. A passing score is required on the written examination. Exams are computerized and will be held at district office in 29 Palms.
