Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school-based support position highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certification a plus
- Knowledge of effective strategies for working with students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to collaborate with educators, school staff, and students in a positive, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management, instructional support, and implementing lesson plans
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students, reinforcing learning and promoting engagement
- Support students with educational, behavioral, or social-emotional needs as directed by educators
- Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized, welcoming environment
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as recess, lunch, or transitions
- Perform other duties as delegated by school administrators or lead teachers
