Minimum of 2 years of experience in culinary field/restaurants, or a culinary degree and equivalent experience with a focus on high-volume production Knowledge of culinary techniques and terminology Ability to follow and understand recipes in a mass volume environmentStrong organizational skills, working with speed accuracy, and efficiency in the kitchen to multi-task and work in a high-volume environmentStrong listening skills and ability to take direction Demonstrate a desire to provide excellent guest service and be part of a team Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events Basic Qualifications for Pastry Roles: Strong piping skills Uphold kitchen safety and sanitation, including temperature requirements Good judgment of food quality and production, understand the impact of spoilage Ability to assist Chef in preparing items for Guests with special dietary needs Operate tools, measurements, ingredients, equipment, small wares, and cooking required for a bakery Clean kitchen equipment and practice HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques, including scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing
  • Experience making mousse, pate-a-choux, and French macarons
  • Experience plating fine dining desserts
  • Experience with detailed cake decorating and show pieces, especially for weddings and special events
  • Completed culinary education program or equivalent leadership experience

Additional Information: SCHEDULE AVAILABILITYOur Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am.
