Job TitleThis Is Not A Virtual Position, You Must Live Within Or Be Willing To Relocate Within A Commutable Distance Of The Duty Location*Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Assists in the overall administrative management for the organization; interpreting administrative policies, developing and/or implementing local policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to top management on related issuesPerforms administrative management requirements for a medium-sized organization with varied functionsApplies new policies, provides advice on requirements, maintains administrative systems and prepares administrative paperworkOversees a variety of administrative programs, including the distribution dissemination of incoming mail, internal controls, records management, publication and formsDirects administrative support services to ensure that inquiries, correspondence and actions for the area of responsibility are addressed appropriatelyDevelops information papers and correspondence on wide variety of administrative functionsAssists in identifying and resolving process issues which may affect the service's ability to meet program goals and target performance measuresAssists in preparing and evaluating future scheduling projections and anticipating future workload requirements to forecast appropriate staffing levelsProvides administrative planning and oversight for a variety of programs to ensure survey-readiness and compliance with VA initiative and accreditation bodies such as The Joint Commission, OIG, Long-Term Care InstituteCoordinates with the Nurse Recruitment Office, Nurse Managers and Human Resources for the recruitment of nursing personnelServes as initial contact for applicants, answering questions and providing information about the position, coordinating interviews of potential applicants, developing performance-based interview questions and scoring guidelines, convening interview panels, serving on panels as appropriate/needed, summarizing recommendations regarding recruitment, completing all actions in USA staffing, and providing updated information to management regarding recruitment statusPrepares budget projections based on studies of past expenditures, knowledge of the team's requirements, changes which have occurred in workload, and future goals. Prepares detailed requests for Resource Management Committee consideration (new position, vice position) that include sufficient data and justification to warrant approvalCollects, develops, and analyzes cost data relative to Nursing operations: maintenance of current DSS data, labor mapping, productivity measures, nursing hours per patient day (NHPPD), nursing hours per encounters, overtime hours, and paid-leave hoursCollaborates with Fiscal service to gain a working knowledge of reimbursement issues, development of cost/benefit proposals for special program needs and serves as advisor to the Chief Nurse(s) in this areaPerforms other duties as assignedWork Schedule: Full Time, 8:00am to 4:30 or per the services needsRecruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not AuthorizedCritical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not ApprovedTelework: This position may be authorized for AD HOC telework.
