Parker Beth Search Partners is recruiting for an established Northern Nevada contractor operating since 1957. The company has its own asphalt production, trucking, and equipment and is hiring someone to lead its approximately 10–12-person paving crew on road, highway, subdivision, and other public and private projects. You will plan the work, lead the crew, coordinate trucks and asphalt deliveries, and keep paving operations safe, productive, and on schedule. Candidates currently working as paving superintendents, general foremen, or paving foremen will be considered.
What You’ll Do:
Lead paving foremen, equipment operators, and laborers through daily asphalt paving operations. Plan crew assignments, equipment needs, daily tonnage, asphalt deliveries, and truck schedules. Coordinate with the asphalt plant, dispatch, truck drivers, project managers, and inspectors to keep material moving and the crew productive. Check base preparation, grade, slope, mat thickness, joints, asphalt temperature, and compaction to meet project specifications. Adjust the paving plan when weather, equipment problems, trucking delays, or jobsite conditions affect production. Lead safety meetings and track daily labor, equipment use, quantities placed, and job progress. Help oversee grading, aggregate base, earthwork, or utility crews when paving activity slows.
What You Bring:
At least five years of asphalt paving or road construction experience, including direct asphalt paving experience. Experience leading a paving crew as a foreman, general foreman, or superintendent. Working knowledge of pavers, rollers, asphalt placement, grade, slope, compaction, and trucking coordination. Experience with grading and aggregate base preparation, plus the ability to read plans and specifications. Willingness to work throughout Northern Nevada, with occasional Northern California assignments and overnight travel. High school diploma or equivalent, an insurable driving record, and the ability to pass required pre-employment and random drug testing. Public works or DOT project experience, OSHA training, and First Aid/CPR certification are helpful. Previous Nevada experience is not required. Pay, Benefits, and Schedule Approximately $55/hour-$65/hour, with overtime and applicable prevailing-wage rates on qualifying projects.
