Nursing Instructor

Job Description: The Department of Nursing is seeking full time and part-time nursing instructors for its ADN RN and LVN Programs. These positions include teaching (didactic and clinical courses). We are seeking faculty in thefollowing areas Medical-Surgical, Maternity, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community/Public Health and Gerontology.

Minimum requirements: LVN Clinical-an LVN with AA or AS degree + 6 years’ experience required or a BA or BS with 2 years’ experience required (any type of degree).LVN Didactic- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience for Registered Nurses with a bachelor’sdegree or minimum of 1-year teaching experience in an approved college of nursing within thepast 5 years or Minimum of 6 years nursing experience for Registered Nurses with an associate’sdegree or; or minimum of 1-year teaching experience in an approved college of nursing withinthe past 5 years. RN Clinical-Bachelor of Science in Nursing with one with direct patient experience in theprevious five (5) years and a minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience in thedesignated clinical area. Must have an unencumbered California registered nurse license. RN Didactic-Master of Science Degree in Nursing with direct patient experience in the previousfive (5) years and a minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience in the designatedclinical area. Must have an unencumbered California registered nurse license. Additional requirements: One year teaching experience preferred Commitment to CNEI’s mission and the philosophy of the nursing department. A clear and current California Registered Nursing License for LVN Didactics and RNProgram. A proven tract record of excellent teamwork, organization and leadership skills. Basic Life Support from American Heart Association A background check will be required A teaching certification or approved course\nCompany DescriptionCNEI is a well-established educational institution in the Coachella Valley and Imperial Valley.
