Production Planner Looking for Production Planner jobs in West Memphis where your skills can make a real impact? Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and staffing availability. Coordinate with warehouse leadership to ensure production targets and deadlines are met. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure material availability. Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and minimize waste. Communicate schedule changes and production updates to applicable departments. Track production performance and prepare reports on output, productivity, and operational metrics. Investigate production issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent disruptions. Maintain accurate planning records within warehouse management and ERP systems. Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and operational procedures.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified. High school diploma or GED required.
Experience Requirements: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance. Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred. Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment. Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Production Planner. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field. Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume warehouse environment. Knowledge of inventory management and forecasting principles. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems. Physical Capabilities: Physical requirements vary by assignment and will be discussed during the hiring process. Candidates should be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasional lifting of up to pounds may be required.
