Apply for this role →Speech/Language Pathologist Work in special education settings to assess, plan and implement speech therapy for students with disabilities. Hold a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders. Hold a registered, valid Illinois Professional Educator License, Type 73 Certificate in Speech and Language Disorders. Reports to A.E.R.O. Program Supervisor, District Special Education Supervisor, and/or Building Principal. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities and functions specified herein. General responsibilities include assuming responsibility for continued professional growth, supporting A.E.R.O. Governing Board goals, communicating using current disability-related terminology, providing supervision for speech paraprofessionals, acting as consultant, therapist, and educator, obtaining Illinois School Bus Driver Permit, demonstrating knowledge of students' needs, maintaining strict confidentiality, demonstrating effective organizational skills, time management, and flexibility, and regular and prompt work attendance. Performance responsibilities include IEP/Eligibility Management, Service Delivery, and Team Member roles.
