Slitter Operator – Flexible Packaging

Candidate Source is working with a flexible packaging manufacturer in Richmond, VA that is looking for an experienced Slitter Operator. You'll set up and run the slitting line, converting master film rolls into finished rolls built to customer specs, and you'll own the quality of every roll you produce. This is a new facility and offers the opportunity to grow with a new company. This is a direct hire opportunity. Shift/HoursMonday-Friday: 7:00am-4:00pmJob DutiesSet up and operate the slitter, including blades, spacers, cores, and tension settings Follow daily slitting plans and perform job changeovers Cut cores to required widths Inspect rolls for width, winding, edge quality, and defects Pack, label, and palletize finished rolls Record production, waste, and downtime, and keep the work area clean Job Requirements2–4 years of slitter or converting experience (film, flexible packaging, or similar) Strong attention to detail and quality Solid safety habits, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and blade handling Basic computer skills for production entries High school diploma or GEDForklift certification a plus#IND14
