The Department of Theatre & Dance at Georgia College & State University exists to prepare and mentor the next generation of creative collaborators through experiential learning in an environment that seeks to model professional practices so that our students can become leaders, educators and innovators across competitive markets.
The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor to teach courses in Dance and special topics courses based on expertise at the undergraduate level. This faculty position, based in the Department of Theatre and Dance, is a 10-month academic year position.
Faculty - Teaching/Instructing -

Full-time instructional load teaching in areas of expertise within the academic discipline
Regular course meetings and instruction
Mentoring students
Other teaching responsibilities: all Georgia College & State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching the core curriculum and providing foundation courses for majors and non-majors alike. Faculty employees also contribute to the Georgia College & State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman (GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses.

Educational Requirements
Terminal degree in a closely related field (MFA or Ph.D.).
Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements as stated in C.S. 3.7.1 (www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials)).
