CNC Long Bed Machinist - 2nd shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conduct inspection of parts during run per the work instruction and maintain part specification.2. Responsible for maintaining tooling/inserts.3. Conduct daily/weekly maintenance inspections of equipment and record.4. May operate other equipment/machines as directed by supervision.5. Must maintain flexibility as job or machining priorities change day to day.

MARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist with the development of more efficient manufacturing methods and procedures.2. May be directed to perform other tasks due to a decrease in the workload, machine being down for maintenance or a critical need exists in another area.3. Must be open-minded to various product design.4. Must be able to stay on the task due to the manual environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent.2. Two-year Associates Degree in Machine Tool techniques with one year of on-the-job manual machining experience3. With no applicable degree, minimum of three years on-the-job manual machining experience requiredQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:1. Must be able to read and understand blueprints.2. Set up and operate precision measurement equipment: micrometer, caliper, and bore gauges.3. Must be able to work independently.
