1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a long-term care facility, requiring 1+ years of experience and prior LTC or rehab setting experience. Details Long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements:
- Active OT license required (if applicable)1+ years of OT experience requiredLTC, SNF, or rehab setting experience required
- New grads considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience
- Resume required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required1 reference required at time of consideration
Additional Information:
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Document all required clinical and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetings
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts and code of conduct
- Up to 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
