Job DescriptionTwin Glass is looking for a machinist with an “old-school” mentality that takes pride in all he produces and does it with extreme care for accuracy. Join the team at Twin Glass Industries as a CNC Machinist and take responsibility for programming and proving out your programs on new parts. These parts are high precision and sometimes challenging parts for various semiconductor OEMs. You will also be setting up and running previously programmed and proven jobs, building up the tooling, and keeping machines running to produce quality parts. Key Responsibilities for Machine Setup and OperationSet up and operate CNC machinesLoad tools and set tool offsets for production runsMount fixturing and set fixture offsetsTake previously programmed jobs from setup through productionSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on work instructionsPerform complex setups requiring multiple fixtures and work holding strategiesProblem Solving and Quality ControlPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipmentTweak offsets to bring parts into conformance when tolerances driftSolve simple machining problems (5-30 minute fixes) Maintain feedback loop with quality departmentEnsure parts are inspected before sending to QCDocument inspection results and maintain quality recordsProcess DocumentationInterpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and router informationMaintain accurate job traveler information and production recordsDevelop and document processes for repeatable productionRequired Qualifications, Education and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experienceAbility to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in EnglishTechnical SkillsG-Code ProgrammingProficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&TExperience with CNC machine setup: loading tools, setting offsets, mounting fixturesAbility to make offset adjustments to bring parts into conformanceExperience with multiple CNC machine typesProficiency with precision measuring instrumentsFamiliarity with quality management systems (AS9100/ISO 9001 environment preferred)CAD/CAM software experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods during machine operationManual dexterity for handling precision components and toolsExcellent eyesight (correction lenses OK) for detailed inspection workAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. as required for productionWhat We Offer Comprehensive Benefits PackageCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance, Short-term, and Long-Term Disability 401(k) retirement plan with company matchingPaid time off and holiday pay
