Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering, maintenance, and utilities operations at a manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, driving capital projects, and ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations. As a member of the site leadership team, you will oversee asset performance, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and develop a high-performing technical team.
Responsibilities: Lead and develop engineering, maintenance, utilities, and technical teams. Drive a strong culture of safety and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs. Improve equipment reliability using root cause analysis, FMEA, and other reliability tools. Plan, manage, and execute capital projects from concept through startup, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. Oversee plant utilities to ensure reliable operation and uninterrupted production. Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to improve plant performance. Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Collaborate with corporate engineering teams and external vendors on technical initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline (advanced degree is a plus).8+ years of engineering and/or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance teams. Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and asset management best practices. Experience leading capital projects and managing budgets. Background in process manufacturing; chemical or fiber manufacturing experience is preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to support plant operations, including occasional after-hours or weekend responsibilities as needed.
