An OB/GYN locum opportunity is available to support ongoing call coverage needs due to a lack of providers available to share the current call burden. This position offers hospital-based inpatient coverage in a rural practice setting and requires an independently practicing OB/GYN physician comfortable managing a broad scope of obstetrical and gynecological care. Coverage Details: Coverage needed approximately 3 to 6 days per month24-hour call coverage, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Days of the week vary Call coverage required Beeper/phone call coverage Call ratio of 1:5Average callback volume varies Two providers needed
Compensation: Shift rate range: $4,000 to $4,800 per shift2 gratis hours with call back
Practice Setting: 100% Inpatient/Hospital-Based Practice
Trauma Level I and Level II facilities
Patient Population: Adult patients
Average daily patient volume of 2 to 5 patients, depending on census and acuity
Clinical Requirements:
- Specialty Experience: Board Certified OB/GYN required
- Broad scope OB/GYN experience
- Comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting
- Ability to manage routine deliveries
- Ability to perform cesarean sections
- Ability to manage obstetric emergencies
Documentation:
EMR: Oracle
Qualifications: Board Certification: Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology required
Licensure: Must hold an active license at the time of submission
