Our Pratt Whitney Global Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization is seeking a highly experienced, highly motivated Director, S&T Chief of Staff and Strategic Initiatives. You will report directly to the Pratt & Whitney Senior Vice President for Strategy & Transformation. This is a hybrid opportunity located at our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.
What You Will Do:
Provide strategic, analytical, technical, organizational, and executive support to the SVP of Strategy & Transformation, acting independently to drive enterprise‑wide initiatives
Lead critical strategic projects and special assignments to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of outcomes aligned with business priorities
Serve as the primary liaison across P&Ls, functional leaders, and senior executives to ensure clear communication, coordinated execution, and progress toward strategic goals
Improve operational efficiency by optimizing processes, meeting cadences, and cross-functional interactions
Anticipate emerging needs, offering proactive, innovative solutions and driving strategic initiatives on behalf of the SVP
Analyze and synthesize complex data to provide insights that inform decision‑making; develop executive‑level and Board‑level presentations and reports
Communicate with professionalism and discretion while supporting senior‑level meetings, travel, external engagements, and high‑visibility executive communications
QualificationsYou Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Operations Management, Finance/Economics or related field with 14+ years of experience
OR an Advanced degree in Business Administration/Management, Operations Management, Finance/Economics or related field with 12+ years of experience
Experience as a management consultant, chief of staff, or related profession
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems
We Prefer: Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with proven ability to influence and engage senior leadership
Proactive, independent self‑starter who takes ownership, challenges the status quo, and drives continuous improvement
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to synthesize complex data and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong problem‑solving and data‑driven decision‑making skills, with advanced proficiency in PPT, Excel, and data visualization tools
Comfortable embracing and leveraging technology, including AI tools, to enhance productivity and create competitive advantage
Skilled in developing executive‑level presentations and communications
Working knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
