Position Overview: Position: CAS Assessor (OPWDD)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Brooklyn, NYWork Setting: Home and Community-Based Assessments
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour Weekend Availability: Required as needed
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in one of the approved disciplines listed below. Minimum ofone (1) year of post-graduate experienceworking directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a setting primarily serving the I/DD population. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems. Valid New York State driver's license or government-issued NYS ID.Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region. Availability to work weekends when needed. Proof of degree (diploma or official proof of completion) is required. Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year of experience conducting assessments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Experience adapting interviewing techniques for individuals with varying communication abilities. Ability to effectively engage individuals, families, caregivers, direct support staff, and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
