Team Leader - Powder Coating - 27677

Responsibilities: Coordinate daily production activities, ensuring work is prioritized and completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality expectations. Assign employees, balance labor needs, and adjust workflows to support production goals. Monitor equipment, materials, and process performance to identify issues and minimize disruptions. Track production results, support continuous improvement efforts, and communicate shift priorities and updates. Provide direction, coaching, and support to production team members while encouraging teamwork and employee development. Promote cross-training across departments and support flexibility within manufacturing operations. Maintain a safe work environment by reinforcing safety procedures, PPE requirements, machine operating guidelines, and workplace organization standards. Conduct safety observations, identify potential hazards, and address unsafe conditions when necessary. Perform in-process quality checks, ensure required documentation is completed, and help resolve quality concerns, scrap, rework, and production issues. Serve as a communication link between production employees and leadership, escalating concerns and sharing important updates. Support a respectful, collaborative workplace culture and assist with resolving team concerns.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with prior experience leading, coordinating, or directing the work of others. Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, quality processes, and production workflows. Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in powder coating or finishing operations. Background in sheet metal manufacturing or similar industrial environments. Previous experience as a Team Lead, Lead Operator, Supervisor, or similar production leadership role.
