  • Baltimore, MD (3 days in office, 2 remote, you choose the days)💰 Mid-to-upper $70Ks Base 💸Do you love keeping accounts clean, cash flowing, and customers happy? 💼🤝We're partnering with an established, fast-growing designer, manufacturer, and seller of apparel and accessories that sells through major national retailers, independent stores, and e-commerce. The company is known for a supportive, friendly culture, and many team members have been there for 20+ years. They're investing in AI and process automation and are looking for an AR Clerk who wants to own the full AR process and help build better ways of working. 🌱You'll be the go-to person for AR, reporting directly to the Controller.
🎯What you'll do:
  • 👇Process daily deposits and apply cash payments accurately to invoices
  • Manage customer accounts, monitor AR aging, and run collections to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow
  • Communicate directly with customers to build strong relationships and resolve billing questions
  • Onboard new customers: gather billing details and set them up in the ERPProcess credit memos, refunds, and adjustments, and maintain customer records and credit terms
  • Reconcile AR accounts, post journal entries to the general ledger, and support month-end close and audits
  • Prepare AR reports for management (aging, unapplied cash, open credit memos)
  • Spot inefficiencies and help adopt AI and AR automation tools
What we're looking for:
  • ✨2+ years of hands-on AR experience: deposits, cash application, credit memos, refunds, adjustments, AR reporting, and collections
  • Experience at a company with $40M+ in revenue
  • Hands-on experience with journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Comfortable picking up the phone and asking customers for paymentERP experience (NetSuite preferred) and intermediate Excel, including pivot tables
  • A collaborative team player who asks for help when needed and is open to change and automation
  • Associate degree minimum
