Highway Engineer

Compensation: $90,000-$150,000 (Depending on Experience)

Job Type: Full Time Benefits: Paid Overtime (for all levels), Discretionary Year-End Bonus, Healthcare, Retirement, PTO, Paid Holidays, and more Why You Should Apply: Join one of the most respected transportation teams in the Carolinas, with 35+ roadway professionals across the regionWork on some of the most high-profile infrastructure projects in the SoutheastEmployee-owned company with paid overtime across all levels and significant project backlog (1-2 years of work booked) This company holds over 15 active on-call contracts with NCDOT and maintains excellent standing with municipalitiesBe part of a high-performing infrastructure group with a strong reputation and unmatched stability What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityMinimum of 5 years of roadway/highway design experience for NCDOT or NC municipalitiesNorth Carolina PE (or the ability to obtain it soon) Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or Corridor Modeling What You'll Be Doing: Lead and support roadway/highway design, analysis, and plan production for NCDOT and municipal projectsDevelop project specifications, reports, estimates, and design documents for both conventional and design-build deliveryCoordinate with internal discipline leads and external stakeholders to ensure schedule and budget complianceParticipate in cost analysis, site layout, and planning studiesSupport business development efforts and proposal preparation as neededPerform QA/QC reviews and provide technical guidance to junior staff
