Job Description: Admin - Operator Cashier ReceptionistKEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Service Department Cashier supports an accurate, welcoming, and efficient customercheckout experience.
  • Welcome service customers and direct them to the appropriate service advisor whenassistance is needed.
  • Review repair orders and invoices for completeness before collecting payment; bringquestions or discrepancies to the service advisor.
  • Process cash, credit card, debit card, check, and other dealership-approved forms ofpayment accurately.
  • Explain invoice totals and payment details clearly, and refer questions aboutrecommended or completed repairs to the service advisor.
  • Complete cashiering steps and update or finalize repair orders in the dealership DMSaccording to established procedures.
  • Balance the cash drawer and reconcile payment records at the end of each shift; promptly report any variance. Process refunds, voids, and payment adjustments only with the required authorization. Coordinate with service advisors and other departments to resolve billing or paymentissues and keep customer checkout moving.
  • Protect customer and payment information and follow dealership cash-handling andpayment-security procedures.
  • Keep the cashier area organized and professional, and maintain a courteous, calmmanner during busy periods.
