Turn Supplier Strategy into Program SuccessPDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Subcontract Program Manager to support a leading organization in the aviation and aerospace industry. In this high-impact role, you'll take ownership of supplier performance and subcontract strategy for major programs, managing everything from material budgets and forecasts to negotiations, schedules, technical requirements, and risk mitigation. You'll partner across Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Business Management to ensure suppliers deliver the right solutions at the right cost and on schedule. What You'll Do:
  • Managetotal supplier performance and supplier management strategyfor assigned major programs or portions of programs.
  • Oversee the total materials budget, including subcontracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Develop comprehensivematerial business plans, forecasts, budgets, and schedules
  • Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Business Management to develop and execute program material plans.
  • Ensure suppliers meet allcost, schedule, technical, legal, and contractual requirementsestablished within their agreements.
  • Guide teams responsible for supplier program execution and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and resolve supplier risks and issues before they impact program objectives.
  • Ensure supplier work products satisfy establishedcost, schedule, and technical requirements
  • Analyze critical cost, technical, and schedule elements of supplier proposals.
  • Evaluate supplier pricing, exceptions to terms, Statements of Work (SOW), technical specifications, and other key contractual requirements.
  • Establish negotiation objectives and targets for major subcontracts and procured materials.
  • Lead and support negotiations designed to achieve program and business objectives.
  • Work directly with suppliers, includingon-site supplier management at supplier facilities, as required.
  • Operate independently while maintaining alignment with broader program strategies and priorities.
Required Qualifications: To be successful in this position, candidates should bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or relevant experience that may be considered in lieu of the required education.
  • Experience supporting or managingmissile-related programs or systems
  • Strong supplier management, subcontract management, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions in a fast-paced program environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, program, and business functions.
  • This position requires a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Standout candidates may also have:4–6 years of relevant experiencein supplier management, subcontract management, program management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience inProgram Management
  • Strong knowledge ofFederal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)as they relate to supplier and subcontract management.
  • Demonstrated experience driving supplier performance and resolving complex supplier issues.
  • Previous experience with missile programs.
  • Atechnical or engineering degree
  • Higher education that may substitute for applicable professional experience.
  • Experience evaluating supplier proposals, Statements of Work, technical specifications, pricing, and contract terms.
