This Physical Therapist opportunity is based in an outpatient clinic in Clackamas, Oregon, a vibrant suburban community just outside Portland. Clackamas offers the perfect balance of access to a major metropolitan area and the relaxed feel of the Pacific Northwest, with tree-lined neighborhoods, local parks, and a strong community atmosphere. The location makes it easy to enjoy the best of Oregon. You are within a short drive of downtown Portland’s renowned dining scene, cultural events, and professional sports, while also being close to the stunning natural landscapes of Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Oregon Coast. Outdoor enthusiasts appreciate quick access to hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and biking trails, while families value the quality schools, community recreation programs, and safe, friendly neighborhoods. The outpatient clinic is a modern, well-equipped facility designed to support high-quality, efficient patient care. Treatment spaces are bright and welcoming, with updated equipment, functional training areas, and a layout that supports both one-on-one care and group-based therapeutic activities. The environment emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and evidence-based practice, creating an ideal setting for a Physical Therapist who wants to build and refine clinical skills. In this role, you will manage a varied outpatient caseload that may include orthopedic, sports-related, post-surgical, and general musculoskeletal conditions across adolescent, adult, and older adult populations. Typical responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations, establishing individualized plans of care, providing manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, guiding patients through progressive functional training, and educating patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention. A typical day includes scheduled one-on-one treatment sessions, documentation in the clinic’s EMR system, active communication with referring providers, and collaboration with other physical therapists and support staff. Patient volumes are structured to support both productivity and quality, with a focus on maintaining strong patient engagement and outcomes. The team environment is supportive, with therapists encouraged to share clinical insights, participate in case discussions, and contribute to program development. Shifts are generally scheduled during daytime and early evening hours on weekdays, with some flexibility to support patient needs and work-life balance. The clinic offers opportunities to develop areas of specialization based on your interests, whether that is sports rehab, post-operative care, chronic pain, or general orthopedics, making this position a strong fit for clinicians focused on professional growth.
