Start Date: ASAP Position Overview NuWest is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The FNP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics, with an emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, chronic disease management, and preventive care.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations across all age groups Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications, including controlled substances, per scope of practice Provide preventive care, including wellness exams, screenings, and immunizations Educate patients and families on disease management, healthy lifestyle choices, and treatment plans Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care team members, and refer patients as needed Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR in compliance with regulatory standards Required Qualifications Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license Minimum 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner Current BLS certification Active DEA registration Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening Why NuWest?
